I’m an award-winning film director, screenwriter, lecturer and artistic researcher born and based in Zurich, Switzerland. My work as a filmmaker cuts across genres and formats, from political drama to family entertainment for screens both big and small.
I teach film directing at the Zurich University of the Arts where I coordinate the Screen Acting program, and at the International Film School Cologne. As a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich with a PhD in Dramaturgy, I lecture on AI, algorithmic literacy and the socio-technical impact of Large Language Models. At the nexus between art and science, we investigate the impact of digital systems on self-perception, visual education and artistic practice in ongoing collaborations with Babelsberg Film University, Residenztheater Munich, HKAPA Hongkong and the international association of film and media schools CILECT.
I’m a member of the Swiss Film Academy and serve as the principal investigator of the «cineMINDS» project. As a founding member of the cultural association «Silicon Stories» and the Swiss Center for Responsible AI, I help spread algorithmic literacy through workshops, art interventions and our art/science festivals.
